We believe the Word of God as presented in the KJV Bible to be inspired
by God in its origination and divinely preserved throughout the generations.

About Our Church
We are an independent baptist church -- we are not governed or
affiliated with any outside formal organization. There are independent
baptist organizations such as mission boards and other organizations
that help the local church carry out its mission. We do not believe they have the
authority to ordain pastors or evangelists. Even though missions boards may help with
this function, the evangelists and missionaries are accountable to their local or sending church.
We are fundamental -- our church is founded on the New Testament scripture.
We stand on God's word as presented in the KJV 1611
Bible. Christ is the head of our church and the Pastor is the
leader of the local church.
We are premillennial and believe in the rapture of the church and the second
coming of Christ.
Pastor Hyde has been the pastor of Victory Baptist since 1963. He is a
native of Bryson City, North Carolina and veteran the Korea war. Pastor Hyde
graduated from Clear Creek Baptist College, Pineville, Kentucky in May 1963.

Faith In Jesus Christ - Your path to Salvation
Accept that your are a sinner and cannot get to heaven on your own
merit. "As it is written, there is none righteous, no, not one:"
(Romans 3:10). "For all have sinned and come short of the glory of
God;" (Romans 3:23)
Believe that Jesus Christ, the Son of God, died on the cross for your sins, and
was resurrected for your justification. "He that believeth not the
Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." (John
3:36)
Accept Christ as your personal savior through confession of faith.
"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in
thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and
with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever
shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans
10:9,10,13)
